Values

Our values are a deeply embedded in the culture of Loburn School.  These values are talked about, displayed, modeled and rewarded.  They are put into 'child language.'


To achieve our vision students will be encouraged to:

Value themselves by exhibiting the qualities of self-respect, self-confidence, pride, humour, self-discipline, self-belief, integrity, honesty, self-motivation, responsibility, reliability and forgiveness.

•Value others by exhibiting the qualities of cooperation, respect, fairness, tolerance, sharing, kindness, friendship, consideration, helpfulness and trust.

Value community, school and participation by exhibiting the qualities of compassion, honesty, caring, giving, community and cultural awareness and loyalty.

Value the environment by exhibiting the qualities of conservation and respect.

Value excellence by aiming high and by persevering in the face of difficulties.

Value innovation, enquiry and curiosity by thinking creatively, critically, and reflectively.

Value diversity as found in our difference cultures, languages and heritages.

Although all values are recognised and rewarded throughout the year. Two values each term are
highlighted, and students who display the values are rewarded at assembly on Monday's.

Term 2: Participation and Fairness
Term 3: Service and Thinking
Term 4: Excellence and Honesty
